It's always fun when Grandma comes, When Grandma comes, hooray!!
My mom came to visit Oct. 8th to the 12th and it was perfect timing!! Isaac LOVED having Grandma here to play with and spoil him. And, it was nice to have some help with the boys and some company since Jared had been working ALL day and HALF of the night (like getting home at 1 am) for weeks in order to make the final tax deadline on October 15th.
We took the boys to the Springs Preserve one afternoon. They had a good time playing in the train and in the sand and water.
Drew....not so sure he likes the sand. What is that on my foot? Why won't it come off???
We also took the boys to the Summerlin Pumpkin Festival on Saturday the 11th. If you can believe it...... it actually snowed and was very cold!! On Wednesday when my mom arrived it was in the 90's and on Saturday the high was in the 50's! That is cold for Vegas!!
We took pictures and picked some pumpkins from their pumpkin patch!
Grandma and the boys
Isaac making his choices...........
How did he do??? Slightly better than
last year. He still managed to pick some pretty scared up pumpkins with lots of....hhmmmm...character. And despite my many attempts to pick other less interesting pumpkins; we still ended up with these. But at least they aren't still green (note there were actually no green pumpkins to pick from this year; thus I can only say slightly better than last year).

Grandma bought Isaac this scooter! He loves it! It was really easy for Isaac to talk her into it while we were at the store getting Drew's present for his upcoming birthday. However, that was what I was TRYING to bribe him with while potty training......so now what???
The boys playing outside!!
Grandma also taught Drew how to go down the stairs backwards!! YEAH!! Although he really isn't totally trustworthy so we still have to have the baby gates up...but maybe soon.
And finally on an unrelated note I would like to share my latest amateur photograph. I have titled this work: Death and Taxes
Let me set the scene for you.....It is October 15th and Jared actually got home from work while it was still light (5:15pm). We eat dinner together, get the kids to bed early (7:15 pm) and I am quickly finishing the dishes so we can watch the new movies I just rented.....and here is what I find on the couch SOUND ASLEEP (like DEAD to the world asleep) at 7:30pm. So, I turn off the lights and head upstairs to fold laundry! BUMMER! Maybe tomorrow (the 16th) I will get some company.
P.S. You can also view a similar work entitled: Death, Taxes and Baby here (at the end of the post).
