Caving to Blog Peer Pressure Part 1
Isaac at playgroup feeding the ducks......
AND Isaac at playgroup feeding HIMSELF......
AND the playgroup feeding THEMSELVES.......
THE PUMPKIN PATCH WITH GRANDPA & GRANDMA TRUMAN
Grandma trying to help Isaac pick out a pumpkin........(a good pumpkin)
NO, NO, despite our best efforts.......this is the pumpkin Isaac REALLY WANTED....
Yes, we got the beautiful green pumpkin with the huge scar on it!! Isn't it cute!!
Speaking of cute....here is Isaac and I on the hayride. In case you are wondering that is me about 12 hours before giving birth. I had started having contractions (irregular) about an hour before we went to the pumpkin patch. I really wasn't sure if it was labor or not (didn't really know what to expect at all; just knew I wasn't feeling so great)! But, BOY the bumpy hayride didn't help! I was really starting to feel something and Scott (my brother) kept timing and tracking all the pains (contractions) and really started freaking me out!!
SO......there you go! A new blog post!! And MAYBE, JUST MAYBE there will be more sooner rather than LATER!!

Don't Mess With Texas......(or Two-Year Olds on Airplanes)
As most of you know we visited Mike, Kim and Megan in Austin last week. It was a great trip with LOTS of eating, site seeing, eating, playing, eating, RISK, eating, visiting old friends and eating!!
This is a picture of Isaac riding Megan's trike in her room...but please notice the huge "barnacle" on his forehead! Yes, just 15 minutes before we left to the airport to Austin Isaac rode his trike down the driveway full-speed and crashed at the bottom. He managed to ONLY get hurt on his forehead, no other scrapes and scratches on his body. He had a HUGE goose-egg and red scab the entire day as we traveled and we got lots of comments.
Isaac playing at Inks Lake. We also enjoyed a fun canoe trip, with the boys providing all the man power and the rest of us eating and enjoying the scenery.
The gang ready for the Train Ride at Zilker Park. Megan loved it and Isaac whined the whole time (he was too tired).
Megan playing with the stroller and wearing Jared's tie! The stroller was the favorite toy during the trip. Here is Isaac also playing with the stroller. I bet Mike and Kim's downstairs neighbors were glad to see us leave!!
A BEAUTIFUL view of Lake Austin. We also picked out a great "little" house right on the lake with a private dock for your ski boat. I am just waiting for Jared to master this whole "trading gig" and then I am told we can buy it. As mentioned before....see what LOTS of eating does to your mid-line (wow what a gut I have.....hee, hee).
We really had a GREAT time, unfortunately, Isaac also got alittle worn out on the trip. As the title suggests the plane ride home was a bit "rocky" for all involved. Next time we are considering flying Isaac all over (we had TOO MANY stops) we will have to decide if a 5 to 10 minute melt down with screaming and kicking the man's seat in front of us is worth it....as for Austin, YES it was! Thanks Mike, Kim and Megan!!!
PS.....This is cute picture of Isaac mowing the lawn with Jared. This was the day before we left on the trip. Jared was outside mowing the lawn and Isaac was playing. Then Isaac ran next door and got Jace's lawn mower and starting following Jared around. It was so CUTE!!

An Update
A Long Day
We went to the Treehouse in Ogden with Kim and Megan in March while they were visiting and had a great time playing. On the drive home Isaac feel asleep for a short 20 minute nap. I tried to get him to go down for alittle more nap later that afternoon; but Isaac would NOT have it.
SO........we were eating dinner that evening and literally for one bite of mac & cheese he was awake and then the next bite........he was GONE!! He even started snoring! It was funny! Looks like it was too long of a day for only a 20 minute nap!
Boys Like Trucks
One morning while I was getting ready for the day Isaac had gotten real quiet and had disappeared for a awhile.....so I decided I had better go check up on him. I found him in his bedroom sitting on his cedar chest looking out the window and watching the workers across the street. It was so cute! And he was very interested in the trucks moving all the dirt around. He sat and watched them for awhile.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
On Isaac's 2nd Birthday, we got his pictures taken and went to lunch with dad at Golden Corral (we also went there for his 1st birthday because Dad says that is where Ike told him he wanted to go)! His pictures turned out really good....
Then on Sunday we had a Party with the family! Uncle Dan made his FAMOUS lasagna for dinner and it was fabulous. Also, at the party we made the big announcement that we are expecting a baby due November 4th!!!!
Easter
There is nothing like candy for breakfast Easter morning............
Another Accountant??
Is this what happens when both your parents are accountants? Isaac LOVES to play with the computer and already knows how to drive the mouse and click the buttons. Oh no!! For his sake, we hope we can talk him out of it...............

Boys will be Boys
Isaac got his first professional haircut at Dollar Cuts about two weeks ago. With Jared's busy schedule and Isaac's long flowing hair, I decided it was time to get some serious help. I even took the camera with us....only to have the battery dead. He did a great job holding still. I think we really benefited from some stranger anxiety. He was much better than if Jared would have done it. She had his whole head buzzed in less than 10 minutes.
Here is Isaac and Me....without glasses! Yeah! My eyes were really red for along time, but are finally getting better.
Boys like the Mud! Why?
On a walk back home from the next door neighbors Isaac decided to take a run through the mud (much to my chagrin)!! I tried to stop him but he was too quick. Here he is the in middle of the mud patch on the side of our house!
I tried and tried to coax him back out, so I wouldn't have to get in the mud! But the mud got so thick on the bottom of his shoes he kept falling down when he tried to walk. So if you can't get out of the mud................you sit down and start eating it!!!
And, yes I did have to go in and get him!! Isaac got to have a bath at 4pm and then watch me out the back door as I tried to de-mud our shoes!!
Boys are Bruises!
While running around the house Isaac tripped and hit the very top of his head on the edge of the door. He immediately got a huge goose egg on his head which then turned into a nice red mark and bruise. If he was only another couple of inches taller he would have cleared it! Maybe in a couple more months.
But do Boys like Purses?
Or does it just go well with the shoes. I think I prefer this to the mud.......................................

Snaggle Tooth
As you can see, Isaac's newest ailment for January is a broken front tooth!! Last Thursday, he took a tumble (while being naughty and standing up in the shower) and now we have a snaggle tooth baby. Don't worry y'all will probably have a chance to see it in person; it looks like this is here to stay until he loses his front teeth....which at Isaac pace could be when he is 8, 9 or 10 years old!!!
If you click on the pictures below - you can see the tooth much better.
The Hospital Weekend
As many of you know, Isaac got so sick right after the New Year!! After days of throw-up, diarrhea and fever...he was spent. I spent days just sitting on the couch and watching movies while Isaac slept on my lap. On the fourth day, we went back to the doctors and he had lost 1 1/2 pounds in a week. So, they were pretty sure he was dehydrated. We got to spend the weekend in the hospital on an IV!! It was a long weekend....but worth it to get our happy, active baby boy back!!
